How does superplastic forming work?

The sheet metal is blown in hot condition and with compressed air into a tool. The tool is only implemented as a female die. Similarly to the deep-drawing process with plastic material, the sheet metal sets itself on the form. Different to cold deforming, transformation velocities between 10^-4 and 10^-2 can be achieved.
